Wow! It looks like my John Hughes Blogathon should end up with every movie getting a review!
But anyone can still join and choose any movie they want. 🙂
I’ll post the reviews in March so would like to have all entries by the 1st of March if possible. You can e-mail them to me at tableninemutant (at) hotmail (dot) com.
If it comes down to it, I’ll review any left over as it would be great to see them all reviewed in one place.
Here are the ones no one has chosen yet:
Savage Islands
Dennis
Home Alone 3
Reach The Rock
And the two he only produced which I’ve decided to add:
New Port South (written by his son)
Only The Lonely
I’ve always been kind of curious about Only The Lonely – maybe I can do that one if no one chooses it. I’m also the only one doing Career Opportunities (I better start looking for these on DVD!).
Here’s the full list again with stars next to the ones at least one person has chosen. Sorry I’m not more organized than that. I CAN tell you that Ferris Bueller’s Day Off & The Breakfast Club are both being reviewed by several people so far. And someone has just chosen that very first one, Tajna Nikole Tesle! Yay! 🙂

Home Alone 3 was a John Hughes movie!!! My mind has officially been blown
Lol. Apparently! He’s listed as writer. I didn’t include Home Alone 4, though, as he’s only credited for the characters. 😉
Hard to believe John Hughes dies so early in his life. He still had a lot left in him to give, I’m sure of that. I love his movies. The Breakfast Club is one of my favorites. That’s why when I see a very rare and candid shot of him with cast and crew of the film, I’m in awe and filled with nostalgia for those days back in the 80’s. Those were good years and had lots of great movies to boot!
Sorry – I missed your comment! It was still pending approval. : ( Thanks for commenting. : ) I was pretty devastated when Hughes died. He was so young. His movies (well, his teen ones really) mean SO much to me. I grew up on those. Great movies indeed! It was such a sad loss. I’m glad so many have signed up for the blogathon – it’ll be great having reviews of his films all in one place. : )
Who’s the poor bastard that has to watch Maid in Manhattan?!
Lol. That’s getting a Movie Squirrel job. But I actually saw that one. 😉
OMG, I will track down Only the Lonely, watch it again, and review it! I was watching Planes, Trains, and Automobiles over the holidays and then read John Candy’s bio when I remember renting that movie when I was kid. I watched the trailer again and wondered if I remember anything about it. Let me know if I can join. Thanks.
I could do Home Alone 3 if no one else wants to.
Of course you can join – that would be great! : ) And feel free to do Home Alone 3 as well if you want – everyone seems to be avoiding that one! Lol. Would be great to get every film reviewed. : )
I will get down to watching and writing over the next few days. I haven’t seen HA3 in years but it was one of my grandmothers favourite holiday movies. I’ll review it for her! 🙂
Aww – that will be very nice! : )

I think I’m a bit late to the party, but as I’ve recently watched Sixteen Candles for the first time, I can throw my hat in the ring if you’re taking multiple reviews of the same film…
That would be great! Would love to have you! : ) Thanks for joining in. I hope you didn’t hate it…. Lol. I love that one. : )
Cool, I’ll ping it over to you. Spolier alert: it wasn’t my favourite!
Lol. That’s okay. The guy I’m forcing to watch & review several is going to hate most of them.
