I like how I titled this post Part I like I’ll have a series of these or something. Well, I’d like to! We’ll see…
Anthropomorphism as defined by Wikipedia:
Anthropomorphism, or personification, is attribution of human form or other characteristics to anything other than a human being.
This is a big thing for me. Stick a smiley face on something and I’ll think it’s adorable. Like the plates in the above photo – I got those as a birthday present. Or like the Henry vacuums (are these just a thing in the UK?):
And Mrs Potts & Chip! Oh I love them:
It may have all started with the Blur video for Coffee And TV. I fell in love with that adorable little milk carton! (Video at the end of this post for anyone not familiar with it).
I’ve collected a few anthropomorphic things over the years (not much but I’d like more) and I thought it would be fun to start a series of posts where, even if only once in a blue moon, I post a picture of some cute anthropomorphised thing I’ve found. Here are a few pictures I’ve been keeping for a while with this post in mind:
A bag for my birthday presents (my hubby knows me so well):
A cute t-shirt I saw:
Claw machines from a recent holiday. (OMG! Look at all those!!! You do NOT want to know how much money I wasted trying to get some of these. I hate claw machines! Does anyone ever actually get anything out of those?? Well, I got the hot dog at least): 🙂
A birthday card I saw. Not sure if this fits the anthropomorphism definition but it’s freaking cute so I took a picture:
Moshi Monsters. A lot of the Moshi Monsters are anthropomorphic. The first two in this photo are my favorites – a bowl of chop suey & and an ice cream cone named Coolio:
By the way – I reviewed Moshi Monsters: The Movie recently for the The IPC’s always entertaining Shitfest. You can read my review HERE. Thanks again for allowing these adorable little monsters on your blog, Eric! (Warning: review maybe not entirely “safe for work”). 😉
If you’ve not yet had your fill of anthropomorphised cuteness, here’s Blur – Coffee And TV. Hopefully see you soon for Anthropomorphic Cuteness Part II. 🙂
Happy Sunday!!
Lol! Deep. ; )
Um… Not feeling the adorable anthropomorphism?? ; )
Lol – I got deep yesterday…
How about: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG HOW SWEET!!!!!!!
THAT’S more like it! You know you love adorable little hamburgers with smiley faces, dammit! ; )
You know it!!!!
#NowWatching old Batman TV episodes…
Is this part of your Supergirl thing?
No, Supergirl is for a podcast. These were just for fun : )

I know! They’re adorable!
Also i have a Henry Hoover!
For the same intended use, I assume… Maybe you should get the Hetty? ; )
Hetty is too sexy, she makes me feel ugly 😦
I don’t even want to know how you found those….LMAO
Bwahaha! This is Mike – I’m sure he found them on his usual daily travels. ; )
How did my most innocent post EVER turn dirty?! Lol!!
HAHAHAHA leave it to a man to turn innocence into filth.
I know! And it wasn’t even Eric! Lol
HAHAHA
true! that’s surprising.
This is just the cutest post ever! I hope it’s part 1 of many 🙂
– Allie
Thanks! : ) lol – I do have a few other things in mind to post for this so am sure there’ll be more. : )
Great band & song – forgot about that little guy in the video!
Yep! Blur had lots of excellent songs. : ) How could you forget that adorable milk carton??? Lol ; )
Devil worship.
YOU KNOW IT!
Lol! These are too cute! I approve of multiple posts for these! 🙂 As for Mikey…sigh…
this comment made me wanna go back up and look to see what it was referencing.

Rookie mistake, Little. NEVER look at a link when Mike’s the one posting it. 😉
Hahaha! Tom will learn… ; )

AWWWWW! Thanks, Tom! I LOVE it! #adorable lol! : )
So cutee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am all about anthropomorphic… say that 5 times fast. I have a little keychain with that NYC greek coffee cup (you know which one I am talking about hard to explain?) but it has little eyeballs and a face so cute. That Bollywood song in the Moshi movie it is still playing in my head. 🙂
Hahaha! That’s funny. You really have that Bollywood song stuck in your head? Someone else feels my pain, then! ; )
OMG yes I sat there watching it and I thought to myself why am I doing this and every time I see anything related to those characters I think of that song. I saw that stuff at comic con I should’ve taken a pic for you!!
Really?!? Lol! I actually wasn’t sure if Moshi Monsters were a thing in America as well…
Not sure if it was those things exactly but they sure looked like them! I saw quite a few things that looked like those little monsters.
