Hayao Miyazaki art show features stunning illustrations of Studio Ghibli classics

The Sketchpad Gallery in San Francisco recently had an art show called Miyazaki Spirit, celebrating Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli films. Oh MAN I’d love to own some of this art! πŸ™‚

You can check out more of the fabulous pieces from the show at The Verge.

  1. I’m pretty sure I could stare at these pieces for hours. There’s something so evocative about Ghibli’s art, even when it’s in the hands of others. Thanks for sharing this.

      • I have all the Japanese Blu-rays of Studio Ghibli’s catalogue. Can’t read the menus, but it’s worth it!

      • Ohhh. That’s very cool! πŸ™‚ I wish I owned every single film. I’ve seen all those directed by Miyazaki but have to work my way through the rest.

      • Oh, of course! πŸ™‚ I’ve watched a few that weren’t directed by Miyazaki & that’s by far the best one. Can’t say I want to watch it again anytime TOO soon, though. 😦 Ugh. So heartbreaking!!
