This is my final 2018 Year End List. This one is really annoying as so many good 2017 US films got released in the UK in early 2018. But it’s a huge pain in the ass to try to adjust this list each year according to the US release dates so, once again, I’ve based this list on the UK cinema release dates.
It was an okay year for films but pretty disappointing overall. I certainly won’t have any all-time favorites from 2018 (although I think number 1 was entertaining as hell, number 2 was pretty damn fantastic & number 3 was certainly unique).
So here are My Top Ten 2018 Movie Releases (based on UK release date). Oh, and I saw a shitload so I’ll actually count down from 30. I’ve listed the rest I’ve seen at the end…

I’ll do one more post sometime next week with my 2019 Blind Spot Choices. I’m then going to take a bit of a blog break (but I’ll catch up on replying to comments first!). Sorry I’ve fallen behind on that again.
Once again, Happy New Year everyone! 🙂
You have some great films on this list!
I know! I’m hoping I manage to watch more than I did last year (I only managed to see 8). 🙂
It’s so hard living in the UK and trying to do these lists, isn’t it? I gave up this year and went with the USA dates but it meant so many amazing movies got left out.
Hehe. Exactly! They have no idea how much it messes up the lists for us movie bloggers who live outside the US. 😉
I feel like if Empire magazine can just go ahead and do its list by UK release date, why shouldn’t the rest of us? I mean, American critics are out there brazenly putting Paddington 2 on their 2018 lists, so…
Anyway, I’ve not seen I, Tonya, despite the fact it’s been on Amazon Prime for months now, so I really should rectify that.
Exactly! Screw the American release dates! 😁 You know, I’ve not seen those Paddington movies and people go on about them all the time… I’d like to know what you think of I, Tonya. The hubby finally watched it and is confused as to why it was my favorite of the year. So it’s not for everyone! I just liked the dark humor and have always been fascinated by the true story.
