My Top Ten Jeff Bridges Movies

Happy Birthday (tomorrow) to Jeff Bridges, who will turn 72. But I don’t post on weekends usually, so here we are a day early!

I really like Jeff Bridges. I think most people do? This is an interesting list as several of his biggest films aren’t included. That’s because I’ve either never seen them at all or I just really need to rewatch them, such as Starman. So I’ve listed those at the end. People will also probably roll their eyes at my number one choice but, hey, I like what I like!

I rank these lists based on how much I like the movie itself, not on the performance. He’s always good, though. Thought he was especially good in Crazy Heart.

I’ve seen quite a few so I’ll rank them all. Here are My Top Ten Jeff Bridges Movies, counting down to my favorite & including all I’ve seen & remember well:

The Rest That I’ve Seen:

18. Kingsman: The Golden Circle
17. Seabiscuit
16. The Vanishing

  1. Great list! Bad Times At The El Royale and Hell Or High Water have been on my watchlist for some time. But I’m coming up on about a month off from teaching, so I’m hoping to catch up on my not-horror viewing

  2. I looooove Bad Times but I’m sure that’s just me. The Last Unicorn has failed to make my radar for some reason.. hmmm…

You know what I remember about Against All Odds?

  3. Great list! There are still a bunch I haven’t seen but he’s such a terrific actor, I think Hell & High Water is such an excellent movie. I enjoyed him even in so-so movies like TRON. Haven’t even heard of The Last Unicorn, I have to look that up!

  4. Aw, happy birthday to The Dude. Very pleased to hear a couple of months back that his cancer was in remission.

I LOVE your first choice. I’ve loved, loved, loved The Last Unicorn ever since I was little. It’s visually stunning, has a wonderful, expressive voice cast and America’s music is just lovely.

I really enjoyed Starman. I definitely need to rewatch it too.

    • Hi. Happy very belated New Year! Hope your 2022 is going well so far? 😊 I’ve not been around as things aren’t great but still feel super guilty at not replying to blog comments in so long. 😭 Glad to hear from another fan of The Last Unicorn! I only saw it for the first time a few years ago or so but I loved it. Has a great animation style. Not sure why I’d never seen it or even heard of it before then. Should be more well known…
