Happy Birthday to Jack Black, who turns 48 today.
I love Jack Black. Some people hate Jack Black. I had no idea! I suppose he’s an acquired taste. But I love that first Tenacious D album. I don’t care what anyone says! Great songs on that. š
So here are My Top Ten Jack Black Movies (ranked by how much I like the movie, not performance – I’m aware some of these are tiny roles). Damn – looks like I still need to watch Demolition Man, which most people said I should watch after it wasn’t on my list of My Top Ten Sandra Bullock Movies. Oops.

I like Jack Black in small doses. He’s great in Bob Roberts. I do like Tenacious D. Although not as much as I used to. I think I like him most when a director makes sure that he’s not just doing a caricature of himself.
Okay, I had to look up Bob Roberts. I don’t know that one! It does look interesting. Black probably does need a director to keep him from being soooo “Jack Black”. Although I think being himself worked for School Of Rock more than other films…
I love Jack Black and I have seen Tenacious D live (what a show that was). I really loved him in Tropic Thunder. Now I want to go and watch that again.
Yay! A Jack Black lover & Tenacious D fan! š I usually see such negative comments about him…
Nice list. Nacho Libre is wacked. I love it.
Thanks! That’s one I still need to see. I do have the DVD, so I’ll see it at some point. š
